Long have legends across the world told the tales of shapeshiftersabeings who could change from human form into that of a beast. These shapeshifters served as guardians of their people, protecting them from supernatural dangers. Not until relatively recently have the shapeshifters, or werewolves, been depicted in legend as creatures who are as dark and evil as their sworn enemies, the vampires. Driven into secrecy, the werewolves still hunt to protect us. John Brennan, a modern werewolf, sought to live a normal life in twenty-first-century America. His heritage and a chance encounter with an enchanting telepath draw him into the battle for which he was born.
