Leucine rich repeat containing 57, also known as LRRC57, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the LRRC57 gene.As is customary for leucine-rich repeat proteins, the sequence is shown below with the repeats starting on their own lines. The beginning of each repeat is a -strand, which forms a -sheet along the concave side of the protein. The convex side of the protein is formed by the latter half of each repeat, and may consist of a variety of structures, including -helices, 310 helices, -turns, and even short -strands.
