Low H/Center deliveries; Globally 56% of women deliver with a skilled attendant however; the rate is extremely lower in most African countries. While skilled attendance is nearly universal in Europe at 99.1%, in Africa the rate has only been rising by 0.2% per year for the past decade. At this rate, by the year 2015, the average skilled attendance in Africa will still be less than 50% implying that attaining MDG goal 5 by 2015 might remain a dream. This book is based on investigation of factors for low institutional deliveries in a resource poor country Uganda.
