Twenty-six-year-old Nell Fitzgerald is thrilled when she receives a gorgeous handmade quilt in a lover's knot pattern as an engagement gift from her grandmother Eleanor. But her joy is short-lived. Her fianc announces that he's not ready for marriage. Heartbroken, Nell flees New York to spend a few days with her grandmother in quaint Archers Rest. Eleanor's life revolves around her quilt shop, Someday Quilts, and the members of the quilting circle. And though Nell had only planned a short stay, circumstances conspire against her. When a local handyman with a reputation for destroying relationships is found murdered in the quilt shop, which he's renovating, Nell finds herself drawn into the case -- and to the Archers Rest's handsome police chief. As the ladies of the quilting circle continue to piece together their quilts, Nell unravels a deadly mystery.
