On his march from Mississippi to Chattanooga in the fall of 1862, Union General Sherman commandeers the home of a doctor in Waterloo, Alabama. During their stay, Jonathan Webb, one of Sherman's aides, falls in love with Dr. Morgan's younger daughter, Lucinda.In the war between North and South, when these two young people should be enemies, instead they find their relationship growing.
