Lernort Heimvolkshochschule

Heimvolkshochschulen gehören zu den wichtigsten Bildungsanbietern und sind trotzdem in der Öffentlichkeit kaum bekannt. Ihre Arbeit und ihr Konzept sind nur selten Teil der erwachsenenpädagogischen Fachdiskussion. Die Studie untersucht das besondere pädagogische Profil, das Bildungsverständnis und den gesellschaftlichen Nutzen der Heimvolkshochschulen. Darüber hinaus gibt sie Aufschluss über Herausforderungen und Entwicklungsperspektiven für die Zukunft. Der Niedersächsische Landesverband der Heimvolkshochschulen hat die Studie in Auftrag gegeben. Home adult education centres rank among the most important education providers - and yet they are hardly known. Their work and concept is only rarely mentioned in academic discourse about adult education. The study explores the special pedagogic profile, educational concept and societal benefit of home adult education centres. It furthermore illustrates future challenges and development perspectives. This study was commissioned by the State Association of Home Adult Education Centres Lower-Saxony (Niedersächsischer Landesverband der Heimvolkshochschulen).
