Mae Kelly, wife of a proud police officer, finds herself in fear of her husband when she falls into debt. After discovering a hidden hoard of money under a loose floorboard, Mae thanks her lucky stars, until she realises the money now spent is the same sum recently stolen from the nearby galleries.
