They found ventures and intensify competition. Mature organizations are at the center of our economic affairs. They provide for most of our needs. As mature organizations and their underlying markets enter into decline, however, we need programs for evaluating their prospects. They may merit assistance in redefining themselves. We may wish to support the needs of their people, who have skill and experience, but are not entrepreneurial. Necrosis, the basis for necronomy, is an unnatural, painful kind of destruction that occurs when markets are distorted to meet the needs of mature or declining organizations at the expense of vibrant markets. Model Economics is a means of leveraging biological approaches to growth, maturity, and decline in the economy for sustained well-being.
