Whileenvironmental groups in other parts of the countryhave undertaken issues regarding the environmentalimpacts of the offshore oil industry, groups inNewfoundland, for the most part, have not.Thirty-seven interviews were conducted with membersof environmental groups, government, industry, andthe private sector. These interviews providedinformation about the key factors that contributed toor hindered action against the offshore oil industry.
