It was founded in 1982 and is managed by the members of the Indian business community. It has students from kindergarten to Class 12 and is affiliated to Central board of secondary education, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), India. It is one of fifteen schools managed by Indian embassy in Oman. The school is intended for students of Indian nationality, but some students are from Pakistan, Egypt, and Sri Lanka.
