Home Is A Lot More Than Just A Place To Hang Your Hat

Jason is an abused eleven-year-old. He was conceived through a fertility clinic in Miami and his dad never accepted him. This story is essentially about a middle school kid who thrives on making bad decisions. His dad is a mean drunk. He usually beats Jason twice weekly. Belts, fists, and kicks are all part of the scenario. One Saturday morning Jason is informed that they are moving from Florida to Michigan on Monday. Jason has had it. He decides to run away. His best friend, Chris, goes with him.
