The Hole in the Wall Ranch, a History

The Hole in the Wall country of Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains is well known to history buffs steeped in Butch Cassidy lore, but for millennia it's been a crossroads for all kinds of people. The name refers to a break or "hole" in a wall of red sandstone, 40 miles long. Where the Middle Fork of Powder River breaches the Red Wall lies the Hole in the Wall Ranch.
