Helping Hurting People

This training manual is to help health professionals and spiritual caregivers learn how, as a team, to care for sick persons as whole persons, integrating the psychological, social, and spiritual care that many hurting persons need, along with expert medical care, in order to find healing and restoration to wholeness. The manual describes the principles of wholeness from the scientific and biblical perspectives, how problems in the inner person can influence physical health and illness, and practical skills of discerning underlying personal factors in illness and how to deal with them from a psychologically sound and biblically wholistic perspective. The manual accompanies a series of DVD presentations entitled "A Team Approach to Caring for the Whole Person."
