Globalisation and Eu Policy-Making: The Neo-Liberal Transformation of Telecommunications and Electricity

The last two decades of the twentieth century have witnessed a dramatic transformation of economic organization across Europe. The creation of liberalized European single markets out of monopolies in the telecommunications and electricity supply sectors is a spectacular example of this transformation. This book analyzes the role of technology and markets, manifested mainly in globalization, and institutions and ideas in EU policy-making processes associated with this transformation.
