Global Physical Climatology

The science of climatology began to evolve rapidly in the last third of the twentieth century. This rapid development arose from several causes. During this period, the view of the Earth from its moon made people more aware of the exceptional nature of their planetary home at about the same time that it became widely understood that humans could alter our global environment.
