Descrizione The Fourteen Books of the Apocrypha

When the King James Version of the Bible was first published in 1611, the books now known as the Apocrypha were included. However, since then most editions of the Bible have omitted these books. In view of the difficulty in finding and reading the Apocrypha, the author researched and restored these books. As "The Apocrypha" is considered by the majority of Christians to be divinely inspired, the editor has not tampered at all with the text, which follows strictly the king James Version. His changes begin and end with the attempt to arrange the text typographically to suit the modern reader's preferences. Chapter and paragraphs take place with chapters and verses, and the use of italics has been reduced to an indispensable minimum. Strange as it may seem, it is today impossible to buy "The Apocrypha" in standard library format with adequately large type, outside of limited and deluxe editions. Even the editions that copy the Bible style of type and arrangement are hard to procure. The "The Apocrypha" is one of the most readable and remarkable of all the great classics of the world, containing as it does the books of Judith, Tobit, Bel and the Dragons, Susanna, and the Maccabees.
