Orphan Will Henry is an apprentice to Dr. Warthrop, an expert in the study of monsters. One night, the doctor and his helper receive two cadavers: one is a young woman and the other is a headless creature with long teeth long believed to be extinct in New England. Will and the doctor must act quickly to ensure that these beasts do not multiply or kill again.
