Ebook The Blue-eyed Lady analyzes our society

"The source of my art works was my beautiful, gentle, apricot-colored standard poodle “Lady”. She always looked as though she was regarding the world with two big question marks in her eyes. The distinctive way she was clipped and the colourful little bow on her head made people smile. This special attention that Lady attracted, inspired me to paint her portrait. I made Lady into a subject: surrealistic, stylized and yellow. I painted her unusual eyes deep blue. That is how The Blue-eyed Lady was born. She came into my life as a new creation and her influence has been radical. She made of me an artist with a social conscience and in addition The Blue-eyed Lady absorbs all my attention and she became my life’s work, my magnum opus.
With those blue eyes, Lady is not just “looking” to our society but is also conveying her “opinion” in her own way: “To the point”. Thanks to The Blue-eyed Lady, I am able to raise many social themes that we are encountering in today’s society. A society that is reflected in my oil paintings and literature. This is not a book of fairy tales, but a book full of facts. It is a reflection of our society, moreover it challenges every one of us to confront our social problems and take responsibility for the world we live in."
This book is also the catalogue of the exhibit which took place at the Francesco Gonzaga Museum in Mantua, Italy, in 2020.

"Per le mie opere d'arte, mi ispiro alla defunta Lady, la mia bella barboncina color albicocca. Sembrava sempre come se stesse osservando il mondo alla ricerca di continue risposte. Il suo taglio distintivo e il fiocchetto colorato che portava in testa facevano sorridere molte persone. La speciale attenzione che veniva riposta su Lady mi ha ispirato e mi ha portato a ritrarla. Ho fatto in modo che Lady incarnasse un soggetto: surreale, stilizzato e giallo. Ho dipinto i suoi occhi insoliti di color blu intenso. Ecco da cosa nasce "La Signora dagli Occhi Blu" (The Blue-eyed Lady). L'influenza di “La Signora dagli Occhi Blu” è stata radicale nella mia vita. Mi ha trasformato in un'artista con coscienza sociale, che "assorbe" tutte le mie attenzioni e, per "pura coincidenza", questo è diventato il mio lavoro, il mio magnum opus.
Con i suoi occhi blu, Lady non si limita a guardare la nostra società, ma comunica il suo "parere" a modo suo: “to the point” ("è sempre sul pezzo"). Grazie a “La Signora Dagli Occhi Blu”, posso sviscerare molte questioni, molti problemi e mancanze sociali che caratterizzano la nostra società e posso persino criticarli. Una società che si riflette nei miei dipinti ad olio e in ciò che scrivo. Quindi, questo non è un libro di favole, ma un libro incentrato sui fatti. Si tratta di uno spaccato della nostra società e, come tale, sfida ognuno di noi ad affrontare i nostri problemi sociali e ad assumere le responsabilità inerenti il mondo in cui viviamo."
Il libro è anche il catalogo della mostra tenutasi al Museo Francesco Gonzaga di Mantova nel 2020.
