For a tripod choose a solid, well made wooden one, in three or more sections, which with large cameras will pack into the space provided in the carrying case. A metal or wooden tripod stay is often useful, and it is a good plan to see that the legs of the tripod are pro vided with some device which makes their accidental detachment impossible.
