The first edition of trail dust OF A mav erick was placed ou sale in the spring of 1914, and met with ready and instant favor. The edition was but a moderately-sized one, and was completely sold out in a short time. Since then, the book has been in continual demand; but the plates had been destroyed (unknown to the author) and it was necessary to make other arrangements for a new edition.
