The Doors That Close: Our Melodramatic High-School Story tells the story of Matt Stevenson, your typical high-school male, as he falls hopelessly in love with Erowyn Ashley, a very confused girl. In the form of a collection of high-school journals taking place in the late a90s, author Matt Sagona explores the lives of these true-to-life characters as they find themselves dealing with first-time love, their religious high school, drug addiction, death and betrayal. Instead of living the lives of normal teens, we follow these characters through their many adventures and desperate attempts to hold on to each other while realizing who they are and what love and friendship really means.
