Dem Church Folk

When Bubba Lee was a boy, his family would spend all day on Sundays in church. He would sit there and watch those old ladies just a jumping, shouting, and dancing down the church aisle. He would peek out at them from under his mommaas arm just to see if they were really filled with the Holy Ghost. It seemed to him they just wanted folk to see them in their new outfits! When Bubba Lee grew up, he became a preacher and had problems with his own flock. After being pastor of Shiloh Community Church for six years, Bubba Lee had about enough. People were mad at each other. Children were being disrespectful to adults. It all brought back memories of when he was a child back in Mississippi. aDem church folka were causing more and more problems. Marion W. McKenney was born in Dyersburg, TN. Graduated from Bradley University with a BS in Elementary Education, a minor in English. She currently lives in North Carolina.
