Death of a Dean

Sheila Malory is staying with her old friend David Beaumont when he tells her some disturbing news: his career is in the doldrums, and he's deeply in debt. His only hope is his brother Francis, the Dean of Culminster Cathedral. But Francis is a cold, self-centered man who shows no sympathy for David's plight. Then the brothers' elderly nanny, and the occupier of their family home, dies from a fall. David and Francis are set to inherit the house, and David's problems appear to be over.
