Deanimated

Martin Arnold is one of Austria's most prominent experimental filmmakers. His latest work, Deanimated: The Invisible Ghost, is a painting-over of the classical American horror film strip: As the action progresses, the protagonists are one by one digitally eliminated so that the film becomes progressively deserted. Through this process of "de-animation, " a new, more open and enigmatic version emerges from the former conventional suspense.
