Daybreaker is the fifth full-length studio album by British metalcore band Architects, released on 28 May 2012 in the United Kingdom and majority of Europe, and 5 June 2012 in the United States. Although Daybreaker is a follow up to their 2011 album The Here and Now the band saw a dramatic music shift towards the technical sound that described their earlier albums; particularly Hollow Crown. After the album was recorded fully by mid April 2012 it was announced that Tim Hillier-Brook would be leaving the band to pursue other projects.
