The Crossing: There is a way to go back

In the smoky wisps of his kiva, Hopi shaman Sam Ravenwolf learns that his favorite granddaughter Veronica is in mortal danger. And he learns that there is one man who can save her, and an unlikely savior at that. Kelly Sullivan, a chain smoking alcoholic, lives hundreds of miles away in Southern California, and has troubles of his own. Close to losing his job and his wife, Kelly has to come to terms with his father's death. After showing Kelly wildly improbable incarnations of his dead father and a 12-year old version of himself, Sam teaches Kelly the way of the crossing, an ancient pathway to all of time and space. Kelly leads Veronica and an improbable assortment of characters on a whirlwind journey that could lead them, each in their own way, to a chance at redemption, a better life, and a way to finally get it right.
