Cross of the Bucanneer

The story takes place in spring of 1705 in a seaside village in Puerto Plata. A young boy who's life is perfect as he thought it was suddenly was change and is turned upside down when his village is raided by pirates who conscript Esteban into a life he never could have imagined. Esteban struggles to reconcile the life he has versus the life he planned. As he experiences many of lifes ugly realities of life, he nevers looses hope. Through Esteban and the other cast of characters we learn about the consequences of our actions, even if they happened long ago. The most important lesson, there is always opportunity for redemption.
