First there takes place a dilatation of the vessels. Then in a half hour's time there is a marked increase in the rapidity of the blood ¿ow. Subsequently there is an equally marked slowing of the blood current and an accumulation in the veins and capillaries. Finally there may be stasis. Meanwhile changes have taken place in the elements of the blood cu'rrent.
