Coriolanus

Coriolanus, a courageous hero soldier returning to Rome from the siege of Corioles, is convinced by his mother to exploit his reputation and enter government by running for consul. He wins the favour of the Senate, but dismisses the population, declaring plebeians unfit to decide their destinies. It is then that he becomes the target of political opponents and angry citizens, being condemned as a traitor and exiled from Rome. The final of Shakespeare's tragedies, 'Coriolanus' is a brilliant political play full of revenge, deceit, pride and political intrigue.
