Confronting AIDS:: Directions for Public Health, Health Care, and Research

Given the complex nature of the problems and the time and resources available, the committee did not attempt to prepare a definitive monograph on AIDS or to make explicit recommendations on all of the problems related to the disease. Rather, it identified the most crucial problems and suggests, when necessary, mechanisms for addressing them.
