An epic journey and love story set in Russia at the time of the Revolution
It is 1917, and young Anna McLaren hides aboard a ship sailing to Russia, her aim to save her grandmother. Once there, Anna and her grandmother become involved with a local aristocratic family who are fleeing the Red Army. So begins an epic journey across Russia as Anna and her followers chase the retreating ship from port to port, desperate to reach it before it sets sail back for England.
