The Cold Wind Blows

Donald Selwyn, a promising rugby player, lives with his parents on a 300-acre farm. On the other side of the lane leading to his farm is a 3000-acre estate owned by the Gibbs family. Christine Gibbs attends the same academy as Donald; naturally, they know each other although their lifestyles have no comparison. Through a stroke of misfortune, Martin Selwyn, Donald's father has an accident. Christine and Donald become acquainted after Christine extends a hand of friendship. Christine is much the same as her mother, Josephine Gibbs; intelligent, manipulative, and with a hidden agenda. Mrs Montague resides in France; and frequently travels to England. She knows everything about everyone; and has her own agenda, secretly protecting the interest of Royal persons. Donald discovers as time passes, the secret affairs present and past and the role Mrs Montague performs without reprisals. Romance is a precarious game; Donald is unsure who he can trust, but through a twist of good fortune, Donald's life is changed forever.
