Climate Change and Food Security in Punjab Pakistan; Empirical analysis of wheat and Maize production and major Climatic factors in 9 Districts of Punjab Pakistan. Wheat is the major staple food in Pakistan and Maize is source of corn oil and animal feed. Without securing and sustaining production of these two crops in Punjab, ever increasing population which is currently over 122 million and more than 40 per cent are poor, food insecurity will rise in coming years if not handled and managed well as its already too late.
