Cambridge To Mildenhall Railway

The Cambridge to Mildenhall railway is a closed railway between Cambridge and Mildenhall in England. The line was built by the Great Eastern Railway and opened from Cambridge to Fordham on 2 June 1884 and then to Mildenhall on 1 April 1885 with a length of 20.75 miles (33.4 km). The three halts on the line (Worlington Golf Links, Exning Road and Fen Ditton) had no raised platforms and consisted of little more than a sign. A special carriage was fitted with steps and passengers for these halts were asked to travel in this carriage.
