Dr. Fischler was a pioneer in the 1970s and 1980s in higher education, bringing distance learning to principals and teachers before there was the Internet. He offers a vision for freeing teachers from "presenting" information (the lecture) and encourages more interaction between students through projects and discussions. The end of the book has ten suggested activities to support the transformation of education.
