This high-interest series will give kids an opportunity to learn about the various musical styles that began in the United States. All of them, in some way, have influenced popular music today and that connection is shown in the text. Each title features a couple of the most popular figures of the genre while explaining the genre, discussing the early innovators of the genre, how and when some of the key players got interested in the music, and how their music left an indelible impression on popular music in general.
