Biochemical and Genetic Aspects of Pink Bollworm Resistant Strains

Pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders), is a key insect pest of cotton crop in many countries. The resistance phenomenon become a serious problem which affected in turn on the cotton production. It is thought that studying the mechanisms of resistance at biochemical and genetic levels is very helpful tools to detect the resistance level and find the suitable and practical solutions to overcoming or delay the resistance to the current used insecticides.
