Barbarossa to Berlin Volume Two

This is a chronological account of the campaigns on the Eastern Front during World War II that traces the Soviet counteroffensive around Stalingrad to the final destruction of the Ostheer. This day-by-day account allows the reader to obtain an understanding of the scale of the conflict and to assess the impact of distance and time upon operations; alternatively, specific battles can be studied in detail. By covering each combat sector--from the encirclement battles in the north to the sweeping advances in the south--this study highlights chosen areas of operations in isolation while also assessing their impact upon the wider campaign.
