Automation of mechanical systems. Basic course

The book is intended to illustrate the main topics addressed in the master course entitled “Mechanical systems automation”, held in Politecnico di Torino for engineers of industrial sector.
The course is aimed at illustrating the automation in industry and give the base knowledge for a rational design of automatic systems. Different issues of automation are addressed in the book, which is targeted both for the students, both for the practitioners that work in this sector.
