Medicinal plants continue to be an important therapeutic aid for alleviating the ailments of human kind. The search for eternal health and longevity and for remedies to relieve pain and discomfort drove early man to explore his immediate natural surroundings and led to the use of many plants, animal products and minerals and the development of a variety of therapeutic agents. From, the results showed that DLA tumour induced mice showed significant decrease in antioxidant defense when compared to the other control groups. The administration of FFFr to DLA induced mice significantly increased the activities of enzymic antioxidants and the levels of non enzymic antioxidants. So, these compounds from flavonoid fraction of Ficus racemosa bark can be used as potent anticancer agent. Further docking studies have to be carried out for designing future pharmaceuticals. To conclude, flavonoid fractions of Ficus racemosa leaves, fruits and barks might be responsible for their antioxidative and antitumorigenic potential and these fractions can be recommended as the antitumorigenic agent against DLA and other oxidative degenerative diseases.
