The Angst Solution

Armand Giancola sat motionless and petrified with fear in his car in the vast parking lot of O'Hare International Airport. The last thing his foggy perceptions recollected from his fragmented memory was finishing a supper at the CafA(c) Escoffier. A few lingering and gauzy panoramas of the two-day seminar in Rosemont, Illinois, at the spacious and elegant Marquee Hotel. Hazily, he recalled small knots of people pressing upon him to shake his hand, bits and pieces of his eloquent speech on computer programming, a hazy surrealistic glut of out-of-sync chaos and sensory flashbacks. He was gripped by the stark terror of three unmistakable fears. He could not remember driving to the airport, how long he had been sitting there in the sweltering, broiling heat...or how he got there. Armand may never know the truth, but you, the reader, shall see the dream and you will know.
