The Ancient Greek Historians

This 1909 work by the classical historian J. B. Bury discusses the ancient Greek historians themselves. It unsurprisingly focuses on Herodotus and Thucydides, but in a chronological survey ranges from the rise of historical writing in Ionia to the influence of Greek writers, including Polybius, on Latin historiography.
