AMERICAN GESTAPO is a long-time journalist's view of how the American public has gradually been duped by editorializing and commentary presented as fact, while things that should be exposed go on behind the scenes. It's a raw, unbiased look at the rich and powerful, explaining how smoke screens, including socialism and communism, are used to keep citizens from seeing the real problems behind the rhetoric. Without any slant, facts are presented that show the difference between "democracy" and "republic" and explain what the 99 percent of citizens can do to gain the power their forefathers intended for them to have. Penny Fletcher began her writing career freelancing for national magazines including True Story, Today's Christian Woman, and Gulf Coast Fisherman. Able to write in any genre, she worked more than 20 years as a reporter, feature writer, and later a Bureau Editor, for Sunbelt Newspapers Inc., based in Tampa Bay, Florida, and as a columnist for The Tampa Tribune.
