ACTions

After retiring from twenty years of divorce practice, the author embarked on a biblical study-quest to determine how his experiences might benefit any husband and wife relationship, but especially those who are struggling. He pursued how relationships might be "built up" rather than "torn down." Consider the verse "a threefold cord is not quickly broken" (Eccles. 4:12, KJV). Within any relationship, there is an interconnection amid the actions of: acceptance, communication, and trust. Acceptance is not given much attention but it is actually quite important. How are relationships governed by its expansive foundation? Communication can be the basis for effective decision-making between two people, but what happens if it is poor or nonexistent? Trust can be elusive. Why do we yearn for its establishment with others? Why does it run so deeply within our being? These questions and more are addressed within the pages of this book. This is neither a "how to guide" nor a "fix it manual." However, whether a couple is married or engaged, any relationship is accountable to the inquiry, "What can we learn from these three actions to positively affect our relationship?" ACTions: A Book of Relational Insights provides a good starting point for that inquiry.
