The Beatles, Stones, Twiggy, Mary Quant, David Bailey, David Hockney, George Best - list of hot British talent went on and on. Youth culture rocked the Establishment to its core, but it was the Profumo Affair that brought down a government. Oil was discovered in the North Sea and in 1966 England hosted and won the World Cup.
