The New Social Theory Reader

This is a reader in the contemporary social theory arranged thematically and designed to draw readers into the subject by showing how social theory in recent years has become more political, more value-laden, and more relevant to life. The readings will be presented by two sides as debates between leading figures on the most important topics in social theory, for example: Giddens and Appadurai on globalization and Beck and Haraway on nature.
