Life Starts When The Church Ends is a tale of a young adolescent boy by the name of Bird and his chronicles to manhood. Bird finds himself stuck in a bubble juggling the ways of religion taught to him by his grandmother and the allure of what seem to be a more fascinating reality in a fast pace city on the Southwest side of Detroit, Michigan. Shackled through naïve thinking to the way the real world is functioned he often gets advice from his neighbor who is known as Uncle Charlie and reaches a pivotal point in his later life where he has to figure things out on his own. In this story you will witness how one can go from growing up in a religious family but finds their way traveling through the devils forest. It is said sometimes you have to go through Hell to get to Heaven but in this case you will see that we often choose to go through Hell even if the gates of Heaven is only a choice between door number 1 and door number 2.
