English for Cultural Tourism Management and Interpretation is designed for university students who wish to pursue a career in the sector of cultural and heritage tourism and want to improve their skills and fluency in English communication. It covers key issues and concepts ranging from the history of tourism, the twenty-first century tourist’s expectations, a definition of World Heritage including a special focus on British heritage, to the dynamics of the industry with its products and services, promotion and sustainability. In addition to these themes, students will also explore and practice producing specific promotional materials and will get an insight into different careers opportunities and learn the strategies needed to be a successful candidate.
