Irma Taddia Professor of Modern African History at the University of Bologna where she graduated in Political Science. She worked extensively in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sudan conducting research on the colonial history of the Horn of Africa. Her main research areas concern colonial land tenure systems, the role of the Horn intellectuals and colonial power, modern Africa law and constitutions. She recently authored Etiopia 1800-1990.
