In 1962, a young Guang Jinli travels from China to America to study economics at USC in Los Angeles where he falls in love with a Chinese American girl. In 2017, the same Guang Jinli, now the First-ranked Vice Premier of The People's Republic of China for trade and investment policy, returns to America after a fifty-year absence.
